What to expect from The Children’s Center for Therapy
If there are any concerns about a child’s language development, we provide a
free screening to determine if an evaluation is needed.
During each evaluation, we use a combination of standardized assessments,
observation, evaluation of play, and care-giver interview to determine the next
step in the child’s care.
If therapy services are recommended, we set up a regular schedule for treatment
sessions. Each child is treated one-on-one with a licensed therapist. Therapy plans
include sensory integration and assistive and alternative communication when
appropriate. We also provide Social Skills sessions, during which group speech
sessions are available.
Please see additional information regarding Social Skills.
